How far do you really lean?
MotoTrail measures your lean angle on every ride and ties it to the corner it happened in — so you see not just your max lean, but where, how fast you went in, and how cleanly you came out.
Your lean angle, corner by corner
Start a ride — or let MotoTrail start it automatically when your bike or intercom connects on Android — and ride as usual. Afterwards, every trip shows your max lean angle alongside distance, riding time, top speed and the number of corners you took.
With Adventure Mode, each corner gets its own card: max lean, entry and exit speed, average speed, braking and a score out of 10, with tags like Clean line or Controlled exit.
Readings you can trust
MotoTrail uses your phone's motion sensors while it records. Bumps, potholes and a phone shifting in a pocket can produce impossible spikes, so readings are sanity-checked: anything no road bike could physically reach is filtered out instead of showing up as a bragging-rights number.
What's a normal lean angle?
There's no single right number — it depends on the bike, the tyres, the road and the rider. As a rough guide:
- Relaxed road riding and commuting: about 15–25°
- Spirited riding on twisty roads: roughly 30–40°
- Track days on sport bikes: 45° and more
- MotoGP riders: over 60°, on slicks and a closed circuit
Lean less, ride better
More lean isn't automatically better. A smooth line, the right entry speed and a controlled exit often matter more than the last few degrees — which is why MotoTrail scores the whole corner, not just the angle. Always ride within your limits and the law; public roads are not a racetrack.

Yes. Every ride shows your max lean angle for free. AI Corner Analysis — lean, entry and exit speed and a score for each corner — is part of Adventure Mode, an optional subscription.
Does it work on iPhone?
Yes. MotoTrail is available on the App Store and Google Play.
Do I need extra hardware?
No. MotoTrail uses the sensors already in your phone — no dongles or bike sensors needed.
